GLWD Infrastructure Development Company Limited

Building the Physical and Operational Backbone of the Education City

GLWD Infrastructure Development Company Limited develops master-planned Education Cities with integrated residential, commercial and power infrastructure. It delivers the physical backbone that enables all other social infrastructure to function sustainably.

Site Development

Site preparation, access roads, pedestrian routes, drainage and enabling civil works in accordance with the approved master plan.

Social Infrastructure

Enabling infrastructure supporting the Education Centre, Primary Healthcare Centre, Sports & Youth Development Centre and shared Education City systems.

Residential Development

Phased staff and community housing scaled to demonstrated demand, site conditions, affordability and financing.

Commercial & Community Support

Appropriately scaled retail, community services and commercial facilities based on confirmed demand.

Utility Infrastructure

Water, sanitation, resilient power, renewable energy, digital connectivity and integrated waste management systems.

Facilities Management

Preventive maintenance, asset management, utilities coordination, contractor oversight and infrastructure performance monitoring.

Education City Development

The Education City is planned around an approximately 100-hectare reference planning envelope. This is a technical benchmark, not a mandatory land requirement for every site. Actual footprint, infrastructure quantities, facility mix and phasing will be determined by site selection, technical assessment, beneficiary catchment and available funding.

Site Infrastructure

  • Reference planning envelope: approximately 100 hectares
  • Internal access roads: approximately 700 metres
  • Drainage and sewage networks: approximately 2,900 metres
  • Final quantities site-specific and subject to detailed engineering

Residential & Commercial Development

  • Phased housing scaled to demonstrated demand and affordability
  • Mix of housing types appropriate to site conditions and workforce needs
  • Commercial and retail spaces scaled to Education City requirements
  • Demand-led phasing: social infrastructure is not contingent on speculative development

Utility Infrastructure

  • Water distribution network: approximately 2,400 metres
  • Electricity distribution: approximately 2,200 metres; solar PV 237.3 kWp; battery storage 61.6 kW / 740 kWh
  • Annual electricity generation: approximately 540,000 kWh
  • Final designs subject to site surveys, load studies and detailed engineering

Enabling works establish the foundational platform required to support the Education Centre, Primary Healthcare Centre, Sports & Youth Development Centre and initial residential development. Scope, quantities and sequencing will be confirmed through site selection, feasibility assessment and detailed engineering.
